<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for sending feedback information in a wireless communication system. <P>SOLUTION: Precoding control indication (PCI), rank, and channel quality indication (CQI) for data transmission from a transmitter to a receiver is determined by evaluating different hypotheses. A report is formed on the basis of the PCI, rank and CQI. The PCI includes a precoding matrix or vector to use for the data transmission. The CQI includes at least one CQI value for at least one transport block to send for the data transmission. The rank and CQI are combined on the basis of a mapping. For example, the CQI includes one CQI value and falls within a first range of values if one transport block is preferred by the receiver.
