The assembly has an adapter (16) formed for connecting a base body (17) of a wiper blade (14) with a wiper arm (12). The adapter is brought into a functional position in which wiping of a windscreen is performed, by assembling the adapter at the wiper arm. A magnet (42) exerts magnetic attractive force that assists fixing of the adapter in the functional position while the adapter is present on a ridge (34) and a steel core (52). The magnet, the ridge and the steel core are arranged on sides of the wiper arm and the blade, respectively.
