PURPOSE: An instant messaging service and a service providing method thereof are provided to offer a service which is necessary for a user by selecting the service from a plurality of services. CONSTITUTION: A providing device displays a chatting window for a chatting room about an instant messaging service(310). The providing device accommodates a touch event of a user for the chatting window(320). The providing device selects one service in response to the touch event(330). The providing device displays a screen related to the selected service(340). The providing device supplies information about the chatting room to a server for the selected service through a network module.
