<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mode synchronous laser light source device capable of providing a laser beam having a narrow oscillation spectral distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The mode synchronous laser light source device comprises: a semiconductor optical amplifier 1 which amplifies the pulse of a laser beam P by generation of carriers by injecting injection current I and by consumption of the carriers, and which generates, by changes in carrier density, phase modulation equivalent to self phase modulation that depends on pulse intensity of the laser beam P; a sweep modulation unit 3 for changing oscillation wavelength of pulses of the laser beam P emitted from the semiconductor optical amplifier 1; a ring resonator 6 which feeds back the pulses of the laser beam P modulated by the sweep modulation unit 3 to the semiconductor optical amplifier 1 to thereby generate a laser oscillation phenomenon; and a dispersion compensator 5 which is used in an abnormal dispersion region and changes the feedback time of the pulses of the laser beam P depending on the pulse wavelength of the laser beam P being guided in the ring resonator 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
