MEANDERING CORRECTION DEVICE OF METAL BAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a meandering correction capacity of a swing roll and carrier roll to suppress meandering of a metal band in a loop section.

SOLUTION: A meandering correction device of a metal band K used in a horizontal looper instrument 1 includes: a meandering detection sensor 22 for detecting a direction and amount of meandering of the metal band K; an actuator for swinging the swing roll 5 and the carrier roll 4 in an opposite direction to the metal band K to apply a cant angle to the rolls 4 and 5; and a control unit 20 for controlling the actuator based on a detection amount of the meandering detection sensor 22 to apply the cant angle to the rolls 4 and 5 so as to suppress the meandering of the metal band K.
