<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode including a structure for efficiently extracting light emitted from the substrate side of a light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting diode includes a light-emitting element having a luminous layer emitting light of a predetermined wavelength and placed on a substrate transmitting the light of a predetermined wavelength, an adhesive transmitting the light of a predetermined wavelength, a light transmissive member transmitting the light of a predetermined wavelength, and a reflection member having a reflection surface reflecting the light of a predetermined wavelength and forming an acute angle with a predetermined light incidence plane of the light transmissive member.
