<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner with which an amount of toner remaining in a toner cartridge can be decreased, and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The toner manufacturing method includes at least a step of melting and kneading binder resin and a releasing agent. The releasing agent includes an α-olefin based polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer containing 80 mol% or more of α-olefin carbon number 22-34. A melting point of the α-olefin based polymer is 50-80°C, and a half value width of the melting point is 5°C or less. Weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 25,000 to 400,000, distribution of molecular weight (Mw/Mn) is 3.0 or less, content of the α-olefin based polymer is 2-8 pts.wt. in terms of 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin, and the melting and kneading is performed by an open roll type kneader.
