<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which allows a battery cover attached to a housing to be easily removed when a user intentionally removes the battery cover and makes the battery cover less likely to be removed by an impact of falling or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 includes: a battery cover 16 attached to or detached from a housing 11 along the thickness direction of the housing 11; a step part 21 provided at the battery cover 16; and a fixing part 22 for fixing the battery cover 16 to the housing 11.
