<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can produce and supply hydrogen to a hydrogenated internal combustion engine on board more efficiently than conventional techniques. <P>SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine 10 includes: a fuel supply part for supplying fuel to a first cylinder 11 for rich combustion to cause rich combustion while supplying fuel to second cylinder 12-fourth cylinder 14 for normal combustion; a circulation means for circulating exhaust gas in the first cylinder 11 to each of the cylinders; and a conversion means for converting carbon monoxide and water vapor in exhaust gas circulated by the circulation means into hydrogen and carbon dioxide through water gas shift reaction by means of a water gas shift catalyst 51. The fuel supply part includes: a first injector 21 set in a first state to inject fuel into the first cylinder 11 to increase the amount of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas in the first cylinder 11; and second injector 22-fourth injector 24 set in a second state different from the first state, to inject fuel into the second cylinder 12-fourth cylinder 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
