<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a cage without making the speed of the cage reach the working speed of the emergency stopping speed when the cage has stopped abnormally. <P>SOLUTION: An elevator includes: a main cable 12; a hoisting machine 3; an emergency stop device 15; an electromagnetic brake 6; a rescue operation unit; and a rescue operation control unit. The hoisting machine 3 includes a drive sheave 5 winding the main cable 12. The electromagnetic brake 6 is provided in the hoisting machine 3. The rescue operation unit includes an operation unit which is pressed to be operated by a man. With the rescue operation control unit, when the electromagnetic brake 6 is in a braking motion and the operation unit is pressed, the braking motion of the electromagnetic brake 6 is released. After that, when the operation unit is no longer pressed and the operation unit has been pressed for a certain period, the rescue operation control unit recovers the braking motion of the electromagnetic brake 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
