PURPOSE: A server and a method for providing seamless playback of group contents to multiple terminals are provided to provide seamless playback service of multiple contents which are generated from one event photographed by multiple terminals, and optimize the multiple contents for each terminal, thereby allowing the multiple terminals to select an each of optimized contents for seamless playback. CONSTITUTION: A server(10) for providing seamless playback of group contents respondes a request for a first content and provides the first content to a first terminal(310)(S110). The server searches group contents information of a group which is matche to the first content(S120), and provides the group contents information of the searched group to a second terminal(320)(S125). The second terminal selects a second content corresponding to one of the provided group contents information(S130), and requests information about the second content from the server(S135). The server determines playback time information of the second content based on an offset value which is included in the group contents information(S140). The server provides the information about the second content which are requested by the second terminal and payback time information to the second terminal(S145). The second terminal plays the second content back based on the playback time information of the second content which is provided from the server(S150).
