<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and multichannel lens array capable of efficiently obtaining monitor light, and having improved yield and simple handleability. <P>SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the lens array, bubbles in an adhesive 20 are prevented from being resident on an optical path of each light-emitting element 7 between a prism mounting recess 16 and a prism 18, by a first bubble residence prevention recess 25 and a second bubble residence prevention recess 26 that are communicated in a lens alignment direction to the prism mounting recess 16 when the prism 18 is attached to the inside of the prism mounting recess 16 by the adhesive 20.
