<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for suppressing continuous generation of misfire, in an internal combustion engine that recirculates exhaust gas whose moisture is removed by a water separator into a cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: The control device includes an exhaust gas recirculation passage 15 and recirculates the exhaust gas at a low concentration of moisture into the cylinder, where the moisture of the exhaust gas is removed by the water separator 17.
