The invention relates to a sheathing (1) for a thermally insulated tube (2), comprising an outer tube (3) and insulation (4) enclosed by the outer tube (3). In addition, an annular cover (6) associated with at least one outer tube end face is provided, which is tightly connected to the outer tube (3) and has an opening for the tube (2). In order to provide advantageous sealing conditions, according to the invention the annular cover (6) is fitted at least in the region of the opening with a seal (7) made of a microporous fluoropolymer.
