Improved systems and techniques for generating call suggestions for users of a telecommunication system. Data identifying a user of the telecommunication system and at least one potential called party that may be called by the user is received and processed to create a call suggestion identifying the potential called party for the user. The data may be provided by a third party through explicit creation of the call suggestion. The call suggestion is made accessible to a communication device associated with the user. When conditions for acceptance of the call suggestion are met, the call is initiated.
