<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film manufacturing method that can prevent scratches or curls at the end from occurring when manufacturing the optical film with the thin film thickness, and to provide an optical film manufactured using the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical film includes: a step of casting a dope on a support using a casting die; a step of conveying, heating, and drying the dope while holding at both side ends of the resin film by a pin tenter after peeling off as a resin film; and a step of cutting and removing both side ends and holding parts of the resin film, and a part whose film thickness in a width direction is changed to obtain a product film, and also includes a step of producing a film so that the dried film thickness of the end of the resin film which is out of the product becomes ≥60 μm, and the dried film thickness of the center part becomes ≤40 μm, using a conveyance roller constituting of a roller body, and both side ends with the smaller diameter than the roller body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
