<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the estimation of the power consumption more than assumption for an electronic sphygmomanometer that measures blood pressure by using the detected pulse wave from a measurement site. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic sphygmomanometer is provided with: an adjustment unit for adjusting the cuff pressure by controlling a piezoelectric pump which uses a piezoelectric transducer for supplying a fluid to a cuff wound around the perimeter of a measurement site; a drive control unit 33 which gradually changes the cuff pressure by means of controlling driving of the adjustment unit; a pressure detection unit 32 for detecting the cuff pressure; a blood pressure determination unit 34 for determining the blood pressure value on the basis of the detected cuff pressure; a perimeter length detection unit 351 for detecting the perimeter length of the measurement site; a battery for supplying power to each unit; and a drop amount detection unit 352 for detecting the voltage drop value of the battery during blood pressure measurement. On the basis of the perimeter length and the voltage drop value detected during the initial pressurization period at blood pressure measurement start, the range of the voltage drop values thereafter during blood pressure measurement is estimated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
