Valve devices are known for oil-pump regulating arrangements having an actuator unit (10) with an electromagnetic circuit (14) with a movable armature (22), a core (20), a coil (18) which can be supplied with current, and flux guiding devices (19, 24) and a space (60) in the valve interior between the armature (22) and the core (20), and a valve unit (12) with an inlet (48), an outlet (50) and a valve closing body (56) which is connected to the armature (22) and is spring-loaded in the direction of a valve seat (54), wherein the valve seat (54) is arranged between the inlet (48) and the outlet (50). Here, in addition to the valve apparatus, the oil-pump regulating arrangements comprise a variable oil pump (82) with a control chamber (94) and an oil sump (78). In order to provide valve apparatuses which are independent of the desired switching overpressure and of the desired regulating-pressure range, it is proposed that the inlet (48) is arranged between the outlet (50) and the space (60) in the valve interior, and an opening (52) is formed at that end of the valve unit (12) which lies opposite to the space (60), in which opening (52) a pressure-loaded valve tappet (72) is arranged which can be displaced counter to the valve closing body (56) in the opening direction.
