This cooling device for cooling a rack-type server provided with a plurality of electronic instruments in a casing is provided with an inner cooling unit and an outer cooling unit. The inner cooling unit is provided with a heat receiver, a heat radiator, an outward pipe, and a return pipe. The inner cooling unit circulates the working fluid to the heat receiver, the outward pipe, the heat radiator, the return pipe, and the heat receiver, and moves the heat in the heat receiver to the heat radiator. The outer cooling unit has a heat exchanger in contact with the heat radiator, and radiates into the external air, through circulation of a coolant, the heat of the working fluid released from the heat radiator.
