<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent damage of a fuel tank by sufficiently absorbing impact energy given from the rear side of a vehicle body, even when a separation distance along body back and forth direction between a rear bumper and the fuel tank, or between the rear bumper and a sub frame disposed at the rear of the fuel tank, is short. <P>SOLUTION: Two side frames 14 extending in the vehicle back and forth direction at both sides of a vehicle width direction, a rear cross frame 18 extending in the vehicle width direction, and the rear bumper 20 disposed at the rear of the rear cross frame 18 are provided at the rear of the vehicle body 12. The fuel tank 22 is disposed at the front of the rear cross frame 18 in the vehicle body back and forth direction. An upstream side muffler 32 and a downstream side muffler 34 are disposed between the rear cross frame 18 and the rear bumper 20, and a longitudinal cross section along the vehicle back and forth direction is formed in an elliptical shape, and an elliptical shape short axis T is arranged to be positioned in the vehicle back and forth direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
