<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw fall preventing structure configured to prevent a screw from being screwed diagonally in fastening a unit to an apparatus body and preventing the screw from falling out of the unit easily when the screw is not fastened. <P>SOLUTION: The fall preventing structure prevents drop out, from a unit, of the screw 82 for fastening the unit which can be attached to or detached from a body frame 86 of the apparatus body to the body frame 86. The fall preventing structure includes a wire piece 94 having a bent portion (94B), which is bent in a U-shaped loop, to hold the screw 82 therein axially and rotatably, and a screw 78 which is a fixing member to fasten the wire piece 94 to a main frame 72 which is a component of the unit.
