The electrode for a lithium ion secondary cell of the present invention comprises (A) a non-fluorinated polymer, (B) an active substance, (C) a gelling agent, and (D) an auxiliary conductor. Moreover, the percentage of the non-fluorinated polymer (A) that elutes in the presence of the electrolyte solvent at 60ºC is no more than 1.0 mass%, while the swelling ratio of the non-fluorinated polymer (A) in the presence of the electrolyte solvent at 60ºC is 10-50 mass% inclusive.
