The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a camshaft which comprises at least the following steps: a functional element (1), which has a through opening, is introduced into a holding device(10) with a predeterminable first angular position in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis; a shaft (2) is passed through the opening in the functional element; and the shaft (2) and/or the functional element (1) is/are rotated about the longitudinal axis in such a way that the functional element (1) takes up a second predeterminable angular position. The invention further relates to a correspondingly manufactured camshaft.
