The disclosed Collision Averter is a safety device consistent with a red powerful LED light and two motion detectors aimed at right and left directions of a footpath, equipped with a small solar panel. The Collision Averter is to be placed at the driveway-footpath junction or where a road meets a footpath or another road. The device can also be used for two footpaths crossing. It can be planted in the ground or suspended from above. Collision Averter can also be used in a floating form for marine roads to alert one vessel of another approaching object. If there is any moving object or person or animal in the footpath, the red light will turn on and the driver will be aware of the collision risk. The light will turn off in a short period of time but if the subject is still in the danger zone of the footpath the motion detector will activate and the red light will turn on again until the subject is out of the targeted zone. Collision Averter can be equipped with a buzzer or alarm as well if necessary.
