<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately fold back each end of a continuous sheet at a target position of a folding position even when the position of each end thereof is changed a width direction. <P>SOLUTION: The folding apparatus folds back respective ends in the width direction of an absorbent article continuous sheet while the continuous sheet is being conveyed, with the direction of continuity defined as the conveyance direction. The continuous sheet is an outer wrapping sheet forming the outer wrapping material and by each end being folded back at each folding position, each folding position portion becomes a margin of a waistband in the absorbent article. The folding apparatus includes: fold-back guide members folding the respective ends back at the respective folding positions; sensors 50 causing cameras to photograph parts to be detected which is set on the continuous sheet for every end before the end is folded back, generating image data, and outputting width-direction position information about the parts to be detected on the basis of the image data; and width-direction position-adjusting devices 43a provided in the upstream side of the conveyance direction with respect to the fold-back guide members and each of which has a position adjustment mechanism at each end, for adjusting the width-direction position of the corresponding end of the respective ends. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
