<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control device of an internal combustion engine, the device capable of holding a valve timing irrespective of a hydraulic pressure, even when automatically stopping the engine. <P>SOLUTION: A vane rotor 9 is relatively rotated to a delay angle side or an advance angle side to a sprocket 1 by selectively supplying or discharging the hydraulic pressure to or from a delay angle hydraulic pressure chamber 11 and an advance angle hydraulic pressure chamber 12. The relative rotation of the vane rotor is regulated in a middle rotation position between the most advance angle side and the most delay angle side by engaging the first and second lock pins 27, 28 arranged in the large diameter part 15e of the vane rotor respectively with lock holes 24, 25, at the same time the vane rotor is locked to the most delay angle position by engaging the first lock pin with the second lock holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
