<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer for calendering having a good calendering property, as well as excellent flexibility and hydrolysis resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The copolymer includes a crosslinked ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer which fulfills following conditions (a)-(e) and is crosslinked using an organic peroxide: (a) a melt mass flow rate (MFR) based on JIS K6924-1 is 0.1-10 g/10 m; (b) a vinyl acetate content (VAc) based on JIS K6924-1 is 18-29 wt.%; (c) the number of short chain branches is 70-120 per 1,000C; (d) Mw/Mn by the GPC method is 7-15; and (e) the relationship of a melt mass flow rate (MFR) before/after saponification based on JIS K6924-1 meets the formula: 3≤MFR after saponification/MFR before saponification≤4,000 (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
