<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus and an inkjet recording method that can obtain the temperatures of a plurality of head substrates with high precision and in real time and execute a stable head drive. <P>SOLUTION: While a wasting time for temperature detection is eliminated in case of head substrates where a temperature change is virtually not feared, two or more times of sampling are executed within a limited amount of time in case of head substrates where a wide temperature change is feared.
