Disclosed is a method for effective time control of a terminal trigger message, including: a mobility management unit receiving a terminal trigger message from a machine type communication (MTC) application server; in the scenario of congestion control, the mobility management unit judging that the time value of a rollback timer is greater than the time value of an effective timer of the terminal trigger message, then reconfiguring the time value for the effective message timer of the terminal trigger message. Also correspondingly disclosed is a system for effective time control of a terminal trigger message. The present invention enables a network to retain a terminal trigger message before a rollback timer of a terminal has expired so as to avoid failure of terminal trigger, thus improving the success rate of terminal trigger. |
