In order to effectively use carrier aggregation and coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission and reception in a system bandwidth constituted by a plurality of basic frequency blocks, a wireless communication system, which enables carrier aggregation to be used in the same frequency bandwidth, has a first wireless base station and a second wireless base station, which carry out CoMP transmission using cells having the same frequency bandwidth with respect to a user equipment; and the first wireless base station and the second wireless base station commonly control the retransmission of uplink signals from the user equipment, and independently map downlink signals to wireless resources.
