PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve contrast by preventing light leakage in a block display due to an AC afterimage. CONSTITUTION: An upper alignment layer(3) and a lower alignment layer(3) include a first alignment layer touching a liquid crystal layer(4) and a second alignment layer formed in the lower part of the first alignment layer. The first alignment layer is made of a photolytic reaction material of anisotropy. The second alignment layer is made of a non-photolytic reaction material. The thickness ratio of the first alignment layer to the second alignment layer is 0.5 or less. |
