<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image transfer performance. <P>SOLUTION: A camera CPU 32 controls quality of live image data based on live image data output from an imaging apparatus 18 with reference to specifications of plural smart phones connected to a digital camera 10. The camera CPU 32 changes the quality of the live image data temporarily to high quality upon receipt of an imaging preparation instruction issued from any one of the plural smart phones.
