PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify the position of an origin even if the origin of the hepatic veins is not sufficiently visualized in image data.
SOLUTION: A graph G estimated to represent the hepatic veins is extracted from the image data, a plurality of shape models Mi representing a plurality of subtree structures branching from a part corresponding to the origin within a tree structure representing a general shape of the hepatic veins are obtained, and the plurality of shape models Mi are associated with the graph G using a prescribed cost function. A determination is made as to whether sections of the graph extending from vertices of graph sections Gi associated with the shape models Mi are present or not in the graph G. (a) If it is determined that a graph section is not present, positional information of the vertex thereof is obtained. (b) If it is determined that a graph section is present, a node present at a position closest to an estimated position P is defined by tracing the node on the graph section extending from the vertex from the vertex in such a way as to approach the estimated position P of the origin, and positional information of the node is obtained as information I representing the position of the origin.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
