PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize occurrence of cracking in a support substrate during reduction treatment after calcination, in a fuel cell of a calcined body including a porous support substrate having a gas passage formed therein.
SOLUTION: The fuel cell is a calcined body including a planar porous support substrate 11 having a gas passage 18 formed therein, and a power generation element provided on the principal surface of the support substrate 11 and having at least a fuel electrode 12, a solid electrolyte 13, and an air electrode 14 in this order. Note that the occurrence of cracking in the support substrate has strong correlation with the "surface roughness of the wall surface of a gas passage" of a fuel cell in the state of reductant. In a state where the fuel cell is a reductant subjected to heat treatment in a reduction atmosphere, occurrence of cracking can be minimized if the surface roughness of the wall surface of a gas passage 18 is 0.16-5.2 in terms of arithmetic average roughness Ra.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
