<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine configured to favorably lubricating a metal bearing for supporting an upper part of a crankshaft arranged substantially along the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: This engine includes: a crankshaft 10 having a rotational axis arranged substantially along the vertical direction; crank cases 30 and 40 for storing the crankshaft; metal bearing 32 arranged in an upper part of the crank cases and supporting the upper part of the crankshaft; and a governor mechanism 70 arranged in a lower part in the crank cases and rotating around a substantially horizontally arranged rotary axis along with the crankshaft. The engine includes: a blade part 80 arranged in a part of the governor mechanism and scraping up oil stored in the lower part of the crank cases; and an oil passage 34 arranged in an upper part of the crank cases and introducing a part of the oil scraped up by the blade part into a sliding part of the metal bearing. A passage where the oil passes up to an inlet of the oil passage from the blade part, is arranged to bypass an area where web parts 13 and 15 of the crankshaft pass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
