<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly precisely rocking correction of a resist roller with the consideration of a rocking direction. <P>SOLUTION: The amount of deflection Δx to a standard paper position of a paper sheet to be conveyed is acquired to calculate the necessary rocking amount ΔX (S100). The rocking direction of the necessary rocking amount ΔX is determined to be whether toward the front or not (S102). When the rocking direction of the necessary rocking amount ΔX is toward the front, the instruction value Y<SB POS="POST">2</SB>for rocking with the consideration of a biasing force is acquired based on the correction formula IIY<SB POS="POST">2</SB>=a<SB POS="POST">2</SB>äΔX/(amount of motor movement/1 pulse)+b<SB POS="POST">2</SB>} (S104). Meanwhile, when the rocking direction of the necessary rocking amount ΔX is toward the depth, the instruction value Y<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for rocking with the consideration of a biasing force is acquired based on the correction formula IY<SB POS="POST">1</SB>=a<SB POS="POST">1</SB>äΔX/(amount of motor movement/1 pulse)+b<SB POS="POST">1</SB>} (S106). Based on the acquired rocking instruction value Y, the resist rocking correction is performed (S108).
