<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green composition for color filter, and a color filter, having high transmission and high color reproducibility without causing problems in plate-making of colored pixels. <P>SOLUTION: The green composition for color filter includes at least a pigment, a dispersant, and a solvent, where the pigment includes a green pigment of C.I. pigment green 58 and a yellow pigment of C.I. pigment yellow 139.
