<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for blended iron ore for sintering that improves sinterability and granulation of a sintering raw material, when using as the sintering raw material, a large amount of Marramanba ore having a high content of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and including much fine powder below 0.25 mm blocking the granulating property, low phosphorous and high phosphorous Brockman ore, or blended ore including them. <P>SOLUTION: The evaluation method for blended iron ore for sintering includes: performing thermogravimetric measurement of the iron ore in an inert gas or nitrogen atmosphere; easily calculating a goethite amount from a weight reduction amount observed in a temperature range of 110-380°C in the thermogravimetric measurement; calculating a kaolin amount from a weight reduction amount observed in a temperature range of 380-590°C in the thermogravimetric measurement; easily calculating a hematite amount based upon the weight reduction amount and the goethite amount observed in a temperature range of 800-1,250°C in the thermogravimetric measurement; and evaluating sintering properties of the iron ore based upon those calculated amounts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
