The present invention provides: a nonaqueous electrolyte solution for batteries, which is capable of maintaining small internal resistance and high electric capacity even after high-temperature storage; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which uses the nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The present invention specifically provides a nonaqueous electrolyte solution for secondary batteries, which is obtained by dissolving an electrolyte salt, a compound represented by general formula (1) and a compound represented by general formula (2) in an organic solvent. The content of the compound represented by formula (2) relative to the total of the compound represented by formula (1) and the compound represented by formula (2) is 0.1-8% by mass. (In the formulae, each of R1-R4 independently represents an alkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms.)
