The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polythiol compound, and a polymerization composite for optical material comprising same, and particularly to a method for manufacturing a polythiol compound by reacting a triple-bond compound and a mercapto group having a thiol functional group and preparing through a polyol compound, and to a polymerization composite for optical material comprising the polythiol compound. Provided is a manufacturing method for the polythiol compound for optical material comprising the steps of: producing a polyol compound by reacting a triple-bond compound and a mercapto compound having at least one thiol functional group; producing isothiuronium salt by reacting the polyol compound and thiourea; and producing the polythiol compound by hydrolyzing the isothiuronium salt. The polythiol compound manufactured in accordance to the present invention can produce colorless and transparent high-quality lens which are without imbalanced polymerization, whitening or white turbidity, even when the lens are manufactured by polymerization with widely used polyiso(thio)cyanate.
