<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means with which hygienic water is made available in the home or office even in the case of power failure or water failure without requiring any special preparation ordinarily. <P>SOLUTION: A water supply system 1 comprises a filter group 101, a first pipe 102, a first valve 103, a second pipe 104, a second valve 105, a third pipe 106, a third valve 107, a manual pump system 108, a cutoff valve closing mechanism 109, a fourth pipe 110 and an interlocked valve closing mechanism 111. When water in a container becomes closer to be full, the cutoff valve closing mechanism 109 closes the third valve 107 automatically, and the interlocked valve closing mechanism 111 closes the first valve 103 while being interlocked with valve closing of the third valve 107.
