摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently distribute cores according to an arithmetic operation load of an internal combustion engine, in the internal combustion engine using a multi-core processor having a plurality of cores for arithmetic operation. <P>SOLUTION: This control device of the internal combustion engine includes a variable valve train for varying the valve timing of at least one of an intake valve and an exhaust valve, and actuates the variable valve train according to an operation state of the internal combustion engine. The control device includes an arithmetic operation means having the multi-core processor with multiple cores mounted thereon and performing arithmetic operation in parallel by allocating various arithmetic operation tasks on operation of the internal combustion engine to the plurality of cores, and a control means for controlling the arithmetic operation means to use less number of cores than those used before the operation of the variable valve train is stopped. Preferably, the arithmetic operation tasks related to the operation of the variable valve train are allocated to one or a plurality of cores designated from among the plurality of cores, and in stopping the operation of the variable valve train, the designated cores are rested. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
