<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system for more surely storing management information stored in a redundant management module in the system and a method for storing the management information in the computer system. <P>SOLUTION: In a computer system 1000, an external storage device 1410 is arranged outside management modules 1100 and 1200. The same information as management information 1111, 1311 and 1321 stored in the primary system management module 1100 is stored in the external storage device 1410, and after the management module 1100 is exchanged, the management information 1111, 1311 and 1321 stored in the external storage device 1410 is restored in the management module 1100.
