<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shipment management system which can definitely prevent incorrect shipment (incorrect delivery), when articles are shipped by using a transportation vehicle such as a truck. <P>SOLUTION: The shipment management system is targeted for the management of the shipment when articles are locked and shipped using a transportation vehicle. The position information of the transportation vehicle when reached at a customer is sent to a shipment management device using a GPS. While the shipment management device checks whether or not the customer is the correct one, the electronic information contained in a bar code or an IC tag pasted on the article is sent to the shipment management device using a portable terminal, and the shipment management device checks whether the article is correct. When there is incorrectness determined in either one of checks, the shipment management device sends an alarm and/or automatically sets the lock not to be released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
