<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of scattering of toner in a developing device employing a flare development method even in the case where a toner on a toner carrier that has passed through a developing area contacts a toner leakage prevention member. <P>SOLUTION: A toner leakage prevention member 12 is arranged on the downstream side in a direction of rotation B of a toner carrying roller 2 relative to a developing area so as to fill a gap (entrance gap) between an inner wall of a developing case 11 and an outer peripheral surface of a toner carrying roller. The toner leakage prevention member 12 is arranged to come into closest contact with a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the toner carrying roller that is located on the downstream side in the direction of rotation of the toner carrying roller of an uppermost point H in a vertical direction on the outer peripheral surface of the toner carrying roller, and faces upward in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
