PURPOSE: A security device for a POS(Point Of Sale) system is provided to use card information generated in security module hardware for a transaction history in the POS system, thereby improving security. CONSTITUTION: Security module hardware(20) receives original card information, which is outputted from a credit card checker(10), through an interface(200). The security module hardware encodes authentication information numbers excluding a card number in the card information by an encoding unit(204). The encoding unit outputs card information(202) which includes the authentication information numbers to a POS system(12). The POS system receives the card information and uses the same for a transaction history.
