PURPOSE: A handrail support tool for an elevator is provided to secure the safety of the elevator and to reduce the space of the handrail support tool which is occupied in the elevator. CONSTITUTION: A handrail support tool for an elevator comprises a housing(20), an arch recessed part(30), a tunnel, a barrier(50), and an end wall. Reverse-U shape opening parts(22) are formed in the middle of both sides of the housing. The bottom of the housing is open. The arch recessed part is formed in one end of the housing. The bottom part(32) of the arch recessed part is smoothly extended from the circumference surface of a handrail so that the handrail can be installed in the arch recessed part. One end of the tunnel is closed, and the other end thereof is closed by a stopper. The barrier is formed in one end of the housing and has a through-hole(52) where a coupling unit is inserted. The end wall is vertically formed in the other end of the housing and forms a through-hole where the coupling unit is inserted.
