PURPOSE: An image display control device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to reduce current consumption regardless of the increase in a display size. The control unit outputs brightness control data according to the resolution of the image outputted from the camera by confirming control data from a memory. The control unit outputs image data. A display unit(130) sets the brightness of the image when the brightness control data is received from the control unit. The display unit displays brightness set in the received image data.
