<p>The present invention refers to an apparatus (10) for controlling and modifying the orientation of products (P) in book format conveyed in a continuous conveying flow one after another and at a distance from one another in an advancing sense (A) along a conveying direction (T), such an apparatus (10) comprises detection means (11) for detecting data identifying the orientation of each product (P) in book format with respect to the advancing sense (A) along the conveying direction (T), an operating assembly (12) arranged for modifying the orientation of each product (P) in book format individually with respect to the advancing sense (A) along the conveying direction (T) during their conveyance in the continuous flow, a control unit (13) for controlling the operating assembly (12) according to the data identifying the orientation of each product (P) in book format detected by the detection means (11). The present invention also refers to a method for controlling and modifying the orientation of products (P) in book format conveyed in a continuous conveying flow one after another and at a distance from one another in an advancing sense (A) along a conveying direction (T). Such an apparatus and such a method are applicable and implementable in machines and methods for packaging products (P) in book format and/or for inserting inserts inside them.</p> |
