The device (10) has a carriage (13) movable in direction, and another carriage (11) movable in perpendicular direction primarily to the direction. Delivery mechanisms retain and deliver contact element tapes (C1, C2) to a crimping system (1). The delivery mechanisms are connected with the carriages. The crimping system comprises a base body (2) and a crimping tool (5) that is attached to the base body. Contact elements supplied by the element tapes are crimped with a cable end by the tool. Movement of the latter carriage is limited by a stopper (12) or a sensor in the former direction. The crimping tool is designed as a blade guide (6), a blade (7) and anvil (7a). The delivery mechanisms comprise lifting cylinders (20, 30), guide pillar (21), guide carriages (22, 32), spring (23), hinge pins (25, 34), feed fingers (26, 36), brakes (27, 37), guide column (31) and feed finger holder (35). |
